Amy Poehler, Our Patron Saint of the Television Sitcom
(via conanofallon)
Lynn Daly (Tina Fey) has been on autopilot since law school, working as a successful co-owner of a prominent law firm. Her recent client, Michael (Jon Hamm), is probably the best looking idiot she’s ever met, and daydreaming about him is her only solace. But when her twin brother Nate (Adam Scott), shows up at her doorstep with his five-year-old daughter Elissa (witty/adorable child actress tba), looking for a place to stay, Lynn’s world truly turns upside down. She finds herself part babysitter, part life coach, as Nate — widowed and directionless — is unsure how to raise a young girl on his own. He stumbles upon goofy kindergarten teacher Sarah (Amy Poehler), who is not only a hit with his daughter but helps him get back on his feet. Meanwhile, Michael reminds Lynn to have fun as her and Nate relearn what it means to be family.
To this day, this is still one of my favourite things that has ever happened on the internet.
